Radiesse

RADISESE® is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that provides immediate and long-lasting results. It has several features that set it apart from other fillers. Unlike dermal fillers that contain hyaluronic acid, RADISESE® is a calcium-based filler containing calcium hydroxylapatite. These calcium-based microspheres are suspended in a water-based gel. RADISESE® provides immediate volume rejuvenation and stimulates the body to produce new collagen to restore a healthy and natural appearance.

The unique properties of RADISESE® allow for several advantages:

  • it uses your body’s natural processes to produce collagen, and
  • it can last up to 2 years, compared to hyaluronic acid fillers, which typically last only about 6 to 12 months.

RADISESE® is an injectable filler composed of smooth calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel. As RADISESE® is injected, it provides an immediate and visible correction to volume loss. Over time, neocollagenesis, or the formation of new collagen, begins. RADISESE® creates a structural scaffold by stimulating collagen production that can last a year or longer after just one injection. In clinical trials, results lasted 12 to 18 months on average, and in some cases, the effects of RADISESE® were still evident after two years.

RADISESE® filler is injected into the skin through a minimally invasive procedure to provide immediate, longer-lasting correction. RADISESE® is FDA-approved for correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds or your smile lines. It is also indicated for hand rejuvenation for volume loss on the back of the hands and the neck.

Because RADISESE works by stimulating collagen production, the effects can be longer-lasting than those of hyaluronic acid fillers. This process of collagen formation offers a more natural way to rejuvenate volume-depleted areas. The high viscosity (thickness) of RADISESE® means it does not spread into surrounding tissues; it stays where it is placed. Its higher elasticity also provides a more lifted look than other dermal fillers.
