December Employee Spotlight: Tabi

Our Employee Spotlight series shows off our wonderful staff and takes you along to learn more about the stories and backgrounds of our team members at Bliss Dermatology Group. This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Tabi Williamson.

Tell us about yourself! How did you get into dermatology?

I had a friend in the field who would talk about her day to me, and it was very interesting to hear what dermatology really was. I had always thought dermatologists could only help with acne and skin care problems but never knew about Mohs surgery and how important it is to get your skin checked yearly. After hearing her stories, I decided to join the Dermatology field.

Why are you passionate about dermatology?

I love how much I can learn in Dermatology. Here at Bliss, we do everything from Mohs surgery to lasers. I feel like every day I come in I’m able to learn something new.

What motivates you to come in and do your best every day?

I love the family atmosphere at Bliss. I feel like no matter what, I’m always greeted with warm smiles every morning and I’m surrounded with people who truly care about helping others. Being around such great people really makes me want to strive to be the best version of myself I can be.

Which of our core values resonates the most with you?

Excellence, I feel like it’s so important to always try to improve yourself. No matter what there is always room to grow.

What advice do you have for someone considering a career in the dermatology field?

There are so many things to learn in Dermatology, take it one step at a time. It may be overwhelming trying to learn it all at once but be patient with yourself.

What’s your #1 skin care tip?

Wash your face at least once a day. It sounds easy but many people including me have trouble doing it. Also keep an extra bottle of sunscreen in your purse.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Spending time with my family and traveling. I really enjoy seeing the world with my dad and brother, my family is very important to me.
